Amiga games new zealand story

Be the first one to review it. The Newzealand Story keeps intact this formula, even though it is less memorable than other titles from the same company. The Amiga rendition, while by no means arcade-perfect both technically and gameplay wise, retains the spirit of the game and that's probably why it is still revered.

On the downside no continues or passwords are provided, so the point in translating coin-ops to home systems is completely missed. View all comments I love the character, and the enemies. A cute chick pretending to be a kiwi with a bow and arrow and an infinite arsenal of arrows. I really love the flying machines, and the way that if you jump at an enemy that's already riding one, you sort of push them off to their doom and take over the controls.

I have two complaints though. The end of level bosses are plain rubbish, and I think the game would have been better off without them. The second is the music. The main tune is very catchy and sounds great up to a point, but it never changes.

It keeps on and on and on until you choose not to listen to it anymore and put on a cassette tape or maybe one of those new indestructible compact discs that play music nowadays. Regardless of the complaints though, this is more than a worthwhile buy. The character is as iconic as they come and the controls are superb. This game delivers an arrow to the heart, in true kiwi style.

Nothing spectacular but it does exactly what it says on the tin and plays very well. Full of absurd with ridiculous gameplay and limited playfield. Music is irritating as hell. Maybe the conversion is nicely done but in overall I rate this game as very poor. I think I'll never get why A classic with a decent difficulty setting. Runs supersmooth with a Supra28 equipped Wadda ya know?! Another nice arcade conversion! There are a few out there after all.

I really liked this one, for it's almost a carbon copy of the arcade and it's much better than the previous Spectrum version that I owned. Had only one small bugging issue with this one: the ever-present "up for jump". It's a platformer where the hero had actually some cool skills: shooting, "flying", spitting water, pushing enemies of their flying contraptions and using it for himself I remember beeing a kid having a C64 and watching this at my mates house where his father was playing this The silence I can still remember it.

I knew I then I had to have an atari and play it I never could finish it shame on me it was to difficult at the time for me I will certainly go back for this one as it is one of the few platformers which holds still now while is nearing DannieGeeko Those who grew up playing this on the Amiga love it, like me. And this bird you cannot chaaaange Is it because it was one of the very first games people played?

Or is it because it was comparatively good at the time of its release? I've played it not too long ago and think it is a decent platformer. I still don't get the exuberant comments.

Straight port, but looks like the Ocean guys learned the Atari very well. It's one of the best conversions even though it's in 16 colors and obviously not taking advantage of Amiga's Blitter chip or hardware scrolling. Everybody with an amiga should play this game. So--what to say? Cute game, cute music--though a little repetitive. Comments There are no comments. Similar games Users also downloaded the following old games. Empire of the Ants Strategy First. The funny thing about this game is that it is so loaded with secrets that you can most likely warp yourself to the end bosses within minutes, i have to wonder if these things were left in here for the beta testers etc back in the day so they could warp to later levels in order to test all levels without too much game time.

Though you mention here the games: Gryzor and Combat Scool. Yet anyway! Combat school and gryzor was mentioned because of my brain collapsing i guess, well no not really as they made awesome ports for these on other formats , konami and the Imagine label was a given back in the day. But, since you ask.. Oh, that really looked and sounded awful!

It strange that they did such a shameful port for Amiga!!! As representatives for such a big brand they should very well had known the superb possibilities of the Amiga OCS hardware. This feels more like bad written PD game. Awesome game, laughed out loud when i saw that cheat code picture!.
